School Play

This year's school play "The Tale of Snow White" will be presented this Thursday evening at 7:00 PM at Bishop Connolly High School.  Tickets will be available at the door.   

Field Day!

This Friday May 25 is Field Day.  The bus for students will leave Antioch for Freetown State Forest at 8:30 AM.  Families are welcome to attend.  Students can take the bus from school, or meet us there.
Don't forget sunscreen, bugspray, team colors, and sneakers!  

Trebuchets

On Wednesday afternoon the weather cleared up just enough for the eighth grade to test their trebuchets.  The project required the eighth grade students to work in groups designing and building trebuchets that would launch water balloons toward targets on the playground.  The whole school had the chance to watch and cheer on the teams. 

Field Day!

Field Day is on Friday May 25 at Freetown State Forest from 8:30 AM until 2:30 PM.   Please sign - up to help bring needed cookout items.  We are also looking to borrow a grill for the day.  Stop by the office or give us a call if you have one we could use.  Thanks!

The Sneetches

The First Grade Readers Theater did a wonderful job with their production of The Sneetches. 

Community Helpers

The preschoolers have been learning about Community Helpers.  They were visited this week by a Nurse and a Police Officer.  Both visitors are school parents that volunteered to talk to the preschoolers about the work that they do in our community.

Teacher Appreciation Week

For the third day of Teacher Appreciation Week parents helped cover lunch duties so that the teachers could sit and enjoy lunch together for a whole hour.  Thank You for volunteering!  

Teacher Appreciation Week

On Tuesday, the second day of teacher appreciation week Antioch teachers and staff enjoyed the wonderful breakfast treats that were donated by several families.  Thank You!

Today is the first day of teacher appreciation week.  Thank You to all of the families that donated flowers for our teachers!

Half Day CPR training

On Friday May 4th, Antioch teachers and staff spent the afternoon practicing CPR to stay up to date with their CPR and First Aid certifications. 

The Spring Art Show

The Antioch Art Show was a wonderful success!

Kindergarten Bug Catchers

Kindergarten has made "bug catchers" out of recycled materials.  The project directly correlates with the habitat and insect themes they are learning about in science.  The Kindergartners have learned to keep their found creatures for only a short while because they cannot provide a "true habitat" which includes all of the things that the insects need to live.

The Presidents Challenge

Today grades 1 through 8 participated in the Presidents Challenge.  Mr. Frank, our physical education teacher has spent several weeks helping the students prepare for todays run.     

Art Show Tomorrow!

The Spring Art Show will be on Thursday evening May 3rd from 5PM until 8PM.  All are welcome to stop by and see some of the wonderful work from this year's art classes.
