Eighth Grade Bridges

The Eighth Grade is finishing their bridge math project.  Each toothpick the students used to build their  bridges cost 1000 "dollars" and was tallied into the total cost of construction.  The finished bridges are tested supporting a bucket of sand.  Sand is added until the bridge fails.  The students calculate what it costs to hold one pound.  Mr. Frost reports that the average bridge costs 250 thousand "dollars".
