Second Grade Clocks

Second grade has been working on time and reading clock faces. As review today, the class was split into two groups and only given numbers, scissors and pipe cleaners to create a clock. They worked together and got creative to portray an accurate clock.
They did a great job, and got all the numbers correct!

Visit to the Christa McAuliffe Center

Grades five through eight spent a day at the Christa McAuliffe Center at Framingham State University. Students had to mathematically solve problems, use mapping skills, reading skills, follow & give directions, and work in a timely manner with teammates in order to successfully land a Rover on Mars. Our group successfully built, navigated and used the Rover on Mars!
