Seventh & Eighth Grade Trebuchet Project!

Mr. Frost's Seventh and Eighth Grade students have just completed their trebuchet project.  Working in groups of two, the students designed, drew, and built trebuchets.  Yesterday the groups tested their creations against each other by launching water balloons at targets to earn points.

Preschool Apples

From the Preschool: "Last week in Preschool we worked on our Apple theme.  We learned about Johnny Appleseed, graphed our apples on a chart, sorted apples by color, size and weight!  We balanced apples on our head, tested our apples on how well they rolled based on their shape and size!"

Third and Fourth Grade Geology

From Ms. Leal's class: "The 3rd and 4th grade class created Sand Bottle models of soil layers as part of their geology unit in science.  They have been learning about the rock cycle and how rocks make up much of our world, from mountains to the ocean floor and from sandy deserts to rich forest soil."

"We all had fun this week learning about the four seasons.  We had a summer beach party, a pretend jump into an autumn leaf pile, enjoyed a friendly snowball fight, and celebrated spring with baseball, flowers, and bugs!  Thanks to all the children for bringing things in to go along with our "Seasons of the Day"."
