First Grade Bake Sale

Have you shopped at the First Grade Bake sale yet?  This half day Friday is the last day of the sale!

  Ms. Pyle's class will be donating all of their proceeds to help Swaziland schools.  

Spring Pictures

Lifetouch will be back at Antioch to take spring photos on March 7th and 8th.  The spring photos are usually less formal than the fall pictures, and have more background options.   We will be sending the order forms home soon.

Chinese New Year

 For Chinese New Year Ms. Vickie visited Antioch and gave a presentation about Chinese New Year customs.  For lunch we enjoyed Chinese food from Vickies Restaurant in Swansea.      

Snow

Now that the snow season has finally arrived, please remember that the Antioch School follows Fall River's school closing decision.  If the Fall River schools have a snow cancellation, we will also.  In the event that Antioch needs to cancel school independently of Fall River, we will let you know!

Chinese New Year

Monday January 23rd is Chinese New Year.  To help us celebrate and learn more about the Holiday, Vicky from Vickies Chinese Restaurant will be coming to Antioch.  She will be doing a presentation for all students, and bringing lunch as well!  Please remember to send back the lunch order form if your student would like to have Chinese food for lunch!  

Half Day this Friday!

Friday January 13th is a Half Day.  There will be no lunch, but after school care will be available.

Super Bowl Soup!

Orders for our Soup Fundraiser are due on January 12th.  The soup is from Blount Fine Foods , and will arrive in time for Super Bowl XLVI on February 5th.  This will be one of the last few fundraisers for this year.

Swimming Class

Swimming at the YMCA starts this Friday for grades 3 - 8.  Preschool through grade 2 will have their regular Phys. ed. class on Fridays until the swimming program is finished in March.  Please remember that swimming students will need a swim suit, towel, and flip flops on Fridays!  Students having Phys. ed. at school should remember to wear sneakers on Fridays.

Dreidel

Grades five and six finished up their unit on Holidays today by playing dreidel with chocolate gelts.
