Dental Health

 The kindergarten and first grade classes closed their dental health unit by making awards to pledge proper dental hygiene.  Look for books and CDs going home to review and celebrate healthy smiles.

Day 100

Grade one made collages of 100 items for the 100th day of school!

Term II Awards

Perfect Attendance Award- students were never absent, tardy or dismissed during Term 2!

Honor Roll - students maintained A’s & B’s during Term 2!

Principal’s List - students maintained all A’s or GPA of 90 or above during Term 2!

First Grade Habitats Movie Showing

First Grade studied habitats, created dioramas, and filmed an educational movie to share with the Antioch community.  

Second Grade Clocks

 

Second grade has been working on time and reading clock faces. As review today, the class was split into two groups and only given numbers, scissors and pipe cleaners to create a clock. They worked together and got creative to portray an accurate clock. 

They did a great job, and got all the numbers correct!

First Grade Earth Science

First Grade explored top soil, clay soil, and sandy soil.  "We discussed texture, and how much water each type of soil holds.  Then we made soil collages to show that soil is different and layered."
