Bridge Project

The Seventh and Eighth Grade class is working on their bridge math project.  Students build bridges out of toothpicks that each cost "1000 "dollars" and are tallied into the total cost of construction.  The finished bridges will be tested with a bucket of sand.  Sand is added to the bucket until the bridge fails.  The students calculate what it costs to hold one pound.  Mr. Frost reports that the average bridge costs 250 thousand "dollars".
